Principal Consultant
Ashok Sadhwani has over 25 years of experience in
international trade. He is familiar with the myriad number of issues
relating to global commerce having traveled to more than 45 countries. He
has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Osaka, Dubai, Cairo, Singapore, Bangkok,
Calcutta and Los Angeles.
Ashok's business skills are in regulatory trade
compliance. Besides being an educator and trainer, he directs his efforts
towards providing insight into better practices in supply chain security and
risk management.
Business areas of specialization include shipping and
logistics, letters of credit, trade documentation automation and export
marketing. With a Masters in International Customs Law and Administration
from the University of Canberra, Australia, his studies also cover U.S.
customs law, Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic
in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and World Trade Organization (WTO) rules.
Ashok teaches courses in import and export at
UCLA Extension, Los Angeles, as well as for the Business school in
Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.
Some past projects include jobs for various governments
such as that of Thailand, Bhutan and Fiji as well as projects in Morocco,
Oman, Bahrain, Southern Sudan and The Philippines under USAID, State
Department and EU programs.
